"Wiggle Walls and Yellow Balls"
CDC Main is located in Pine Valley, the modern center is marked by its outdoor entrance theme: "Wiggle Walls and Yellow Balls". Parents are asked to assist their children when walking on the long, red wiggle wall that leads to the front entrance.
Child Development Center earns prestigious national accreditation
The Academy Child Development Centers were recently granted accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This prestigious recognition has been achieved by only about seven percent of early childhood programs nationwide.
Give Parents a Break Program
Give Parents a Break is a program sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society for families who are under stress and feel they need a break or just a little time to themselves. The Child Development Center will care for the children of referred families every second Friday or Saturday of the month for free. Families can get a referral from their Squadron First Sergeants or can contact the A&FRC, 333-3444. After getting a referral, call the CDC at 333-6779 for a reservation.
Hourly Care at Child Development Center
Hourly care is offered Mon-Fri from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. for children six months-five years. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon and late afternoon meals are given daily. Arrangements can be made a month in advance. The cost is $4 per hour. Reservations can be made by calling the CDC at 333-6779.
The Child Development Center Annex
CDC Annex, located in the Community Center area, provides a variety of age-appropriate programs for children ages 3 to 5 years. Programs include full-time care, hourly care and a Part Day Enrichment program. Our program is Air Force certified, meets compliance standards under the USDA Food Service Program and is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program focuses on developmentally appropriate practices for young children. Price is determined by family income.
Hourly care is offered Mon-Fri from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. for children three-five years, on a space available basis. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon and late afternoon meals are provided. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. The cost is $4 per hour.
