Community Activities offers special events, performing arts, entertainment and other cultural programs for the base community. Meeting areas and equipment are available by reservation for commander's calls, retirements, wedding receptions, training and other squadron functions, instructional/self-improvement classes and holiday parties. Available meeting areas include the ballrooms in the Community Center and Milazzo Center. Community Activities develops programs for retirees, singles, spouses and others including social events, contests, tournaments and more.

Reoccurring Classes

Ballroom Dance lessons are every Monday starting at 6:15 p.m. There are four lesson blocks, one hour per block.  The cost is $28 per person and $52 per couple.  Dances are Swing, Foxtrot, Rumba, Tango, Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Night Club Two Step, County Two Step and Polka.  Classes are on-going every four weeks.

Line Dance classes are taught on Mondays at the Community Center Ballroom in six week increments.  Classes are on-going every six weeks. The first class starts at 5 p.m. Some of the  dances covered in the instruction are Copperhead Road, Watermelon Crawl, Brick House, Come Dance with Me, Rivers of Babylon, Chill Factor, Stop Crying, Eye Catcher, Good Time, and Good Bless Texas. The cost is $35.
