OAP Rafting Trips

All trips depart from the east side of the Outdoor Recreation Center 7 a.m. and return about 5 p.m. All rafting trips include:

• Transportation from the Academy to the Arkansas River
• Wet suit
• Helmet
• Personal flotation device
• Splash jacket
• Lunch

All rafts are state-of-the-art self-bailing, other equipment is the finest available. Our primary concern is safety. All guides are state-certified white with First Aid and CPR certification.

Rafting trips are not limited to the scheduled dates listed. We offer custom excursions on any open dates. Book a custom rafting trip for your squadron, family, company or friends.

THE ROYAL GORGE-FULL DAY Class IV-V
Not for meek or weak land lovers! Com­bine the fun of the Big­horn Sheep Canyon trip with the exhilaration of the Royal Gorge's 7 miles of thunder. Minimum age is 16. Cost: $85.

BIGHORN SHEEP CANYON-FULL DAY Class II-III (IV High water)
Keep your eyes peeled for the bighorn sheep that this stretch is named for. This trip is fun for all ages! Cost $55.

BROWNS CANYON-FULL DAY - Class III (IV High water).

Awesome scenery! Exciting white water rapids such as Big Drop, Raft Ripper, Widow Maker and more! This trip is fun for all ages! Cost is $65.

Overnight Includes

All rafting gear for both days(helmet, PFD, Wetsuit, splash top), tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, 2 lunches, one dinner and breakfast, and transportation.

Family overnight Trip
Day one you'll control your own "Ducky" Inflatable kayak down Class II water. Come into camp and have a hearty din­ner made by our staff. Camp out and share sto­ries next to the fire and get ready for the next day of family fun! Day two paddle a guided raft through Big Horn Sheep Canyon! $165 adult, $140 under 14.
