EISENHOWER GOLF INSTRUCTION STAFF

The Eisenhower Golf Club is proud to introduce our highly qualified PGA teaching professionals for the 2010 golf season.  These instructors are independent contractors and may be reached through the phone number or Tremail address listed in their BIO.  The Eisenhower G.C. instruction programs are designed for all ages and skill levels.  They include adult private and group lessons, junior private and group lessons and playing lessons. Registration for Link up 2 Golf and junior programs are taken in the golf shop.  All other lessons may be scheduled with your instructor of choice via email or phone.  Lesson fees or lesson gift certificates must be paid for in the golf shop and not directly to the instructor.

It is generally agreed that golf is one of the most difficult and rewarding games to learn.  Therefore, it is very important that you start with proper instruction in order to avoid developing bad habits that will hinder your progress.  Proper instruction will allow you to improve faster and enjoy the game for a lifetime.  Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or an advance player, each of the instructors listed is capable of helping you improve your golf game so take advantage of what this staff has to offer.  They all teach in the Link-Up 2 Golf Program but their private lesson fees vary by instructor, experience and length of the lesson.

Gene Miranda, PGA Master Professional

Gene is the former USAFA cadet golf coach and retired Tenured Associate Professor of Physical Education.  He is a PGA Master Professional and member of the Golf Coaches Hall of Fame and Colorado Golf Hall of Fame.  Coach Miranda has had instructional articles published in Golf Digest, Golf, Golf World, Golfweek, Golf Journal, PGA magazine, Colorado Avid Golfer, Florida Golf Weekly and is on the instructional staff of Golf Mania magazine.  He taught at two Golf Digest Schools and the PGA Junior Golf Academy. He also served as an educational consultant to the National Golf Foundation and occasionally teaches for Crystal Cruise Lines.  He is a former member of the PGA of America Rules Committee and is a Chief Rules Official for the Colorado Golf Association.  He developed, organized and taught the very successful Falcon Junior Golf Camps.  His teaching method is still being used as a basis for the USAFA cadet instructional golf program.  Coach Miranda has taught over 5000 students in his career from beginner to the advance skill levels.  In 2003, he was named the Colorado Section PGA golf professional of the year. You may contact Gene either by email genemiranda@comcast.net or by phone at 331-8504

Adult 9 Hole Playing Lesson:  $120 (1) or $80 each (2)
Cadets & juniors (The # of these students is limited):   $40
Cadets & juniors 9 hole playing lesson:$80 (1) or $50 each (2)
Couples Semi-private (90Min.):  Two couples $75 per couple One couple  $100
Customized groups of 6 or more (4 lessons of 90-120 min) $125 per person

John Trujillo has utilized his 25 years of combined classroom and golf teaching experience to provide superior golf instruction to over 1,500 men, women, and juniors in his seven seasons at Eisenhower.  John earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and has taught several engineering and mathematics courses at both the Air Force Academy and USC from 1986-1998.  In 2005, John completed an accelerated Professional Golf Management program offered by the PGA of America for exceptional individuals who show outstanding potential in the field of golf.

As a PGA Certified Golf Professional, John embraces a student-centered approach to teaching, patiently working with each student individually and building a golf game that is unique to them.   John's teaching philosophy focuses on developing a complete player, emphasizing the short game, course management, and golf fitness throughout the learning process.  His ultimate goal for each student is to develop a consistent, repeatable golf swing that allows every player to enjoy the game.  John gives back to the game as a long-time volunteer for the Eisenhower Junior Golf Camp and other golf programs in the local area.

Jonathan Dron, PGA

Jonathan Dron is one of the most highly credentialed teachers in Colorado. In addition to being Certified PGA Professional, Jonathan is also a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Golf Fitness Instructor and TPI Certified Junior Coach. He teaches both group and individual lessons accommodating students of all ages and abilities. He is the creator of the very popular Golf-4-Women program which debuted in 2010 at the Eisenhower Golf Course.

His commitment to the game is evident by his involvement in the PGA Golf Management Program at UCCS, the AirForce Academy's Falcon Sports Camp and, most of all, the hours spent on the lesson tee with juniors, women and amateur players alike.
