MANDATORY TRAVEL TRAILER
TRAINING COURSE
Camping Trailers are for rent May 1 - Sept. 30
If you are planning to rent a travel trailer from the Outdoor Recreation Center be sure to take note that in order to do so you must complete a Travel Trailer Training course, provided by ORC. The classes are free, every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m. at the ORC, but you must register with the cashier in advance. "The class is about customer service by ensuring a perfect experience. It reduces damage, extending the life of the unit and keeping the fleet 'rentable' for the next customer," said Chuck Alfultis, ORC Director. Along with the class, a customer hoping to rent a towable item from ORC must have an electrical hook-up check of the towing vehicle at least one week prior to the unit checkout. This is to make sure the customer has a fully functional electrical system and so, if they do not, their trip does not get delayed by finding out at the last minute. Other requirements include: either a 2-inch or a 2 5/16 inch ball; a hitch height of either 17 to 20 inches from the top of the ball to the ground.
-Active Duty personnel can make reservations 90 days in advance.
-All others can reserve them 60 days in advance.
-Prices range from $40-$85 per night.
-Available units include Aliner camper, 19', 21' and 23' Trail Cruiser model travel trailers.
