Applying for Child Care Services:

Complete form DD 2606 fax the form to 719-333-6463. Once the application is completed, it will be processed. Inquiries about the waiting list may be made by calling (719) 333-6779. 

"Wiggle Walls and Yellow Balls"

Located in Pine Valley, the modern center is marked by its outdoor entrance theme: "Wiggle Walls and Yellow Balls". Parents are asked to assist their children when walking on the long, red wiggle wall that leads to the front entrance.

Child Development Center earns prestigious national accreditation

The Academy Child Development Centers were recently granted accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This prestigious recognition has been achieved by only about seven percent of early childhood programs nationwide.

Give Parents a Break Program

Give Parents a Break is a program sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society for families who are under stress and feel they need a break or just a little time to themselves. The Child Development Center will care for the children of referred families every second Saturday of the month for free. Families can get a referral from their Squadron First Sergeants or can contact the A&FRC, 333-3444. After getting a referral, call the CDC at 333-6779 for a reservation.

Hourly Care at Child Development Center

Hourly care is offered Mon-Fri from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for children six months-five years. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon and late afternoon meals are given daily. Arrangements can be made a month in advance. The cost is $3.50.  Reservations can be made by calling 333-6779.
