The Air Force Aid Society is the official charity of the U.S. Air Force. The Basic philosophy of the AFAS assistance is to meet immediate needs of an emergency situation as a step towards a lasting solution to a problem. The Society also administers a robust array of education and community enhancement programs.

Hosted multiple times a year based on client needs
In this workshop, expectant and new parents learn about Nutrition, Infant Care, Car Seat Safety, Health and Fitness and Financial Planning. Open to all ranks and services, but only active duty Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corps families stationed on an Air Force Base may receive a gift from the AFAS valued at $50.
Provides a cash-equivalent voucher so a primary vehicle can be given basic maintenance service to deployed families. Includes an oil/filter changes and may include lubrication and a vehicle safety check on a modest grant basis.
Offers eligible active duty Air Force parents a few hours break from the stresses of parenting by provides funding child care for active duty Air Force families.
Hosted biannually or quarterly based on client needs.
The Heart Link - New Spouse Orientation workshop is designed to help new spouses gain a better understanding of the Air Force, Lunch is included.
Helps relieve some of the stress felt by families during a PCS move. AFAS pays for up to 20 hours of child care per child in certified Family Child Care homes. Open to all ranks if childcare is available.
