Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) Virtual Schooling Grant

AFAS recognizes that many have faced extra expenses from school closings due to COVID-19 and that parents are now managing the educational needs of their children through virtual school programs. Families may be experiencing financial hardship and face difficulty paying the additional costs associated with purchasing home school supplies and equipment for the Fall 2020 school year.

Through the generosity of a substantial donation, AFAS is assisting with a one-time grant to those eligible Air Force affiliated members with dependents in grade K thru 12 with virtual schooling costs for school supplies in the amount of $250 per family having a financial need. Apply after Sept.1, 2020; when funds are expended, the VSG will no longer be available.
